Tiger Containers recently modified two containers to become ‘parklets’. These are small mobile public spaces for community socialising and greening the street.

The parklets were designed and built by Sam George of SAMA Urban Design, and have been installed in Bondi Beach and Waverley.

The shipping container base has made the units easy to move to new locations, and they are finished with hardwood timber and low maintenance plants for longevity.

SAMA Urban Design have a range of design options available and is currently working with several local Councils to deliver more parklets. www.samadesign.com.au
