The Safe Work Australia ‘Work Health and Safety (WHS) Regulations 2011’ outline the requirements for first aid in the workplace. Under the WHS Regulations, employers must provide:
Adequate and appropriate first aid facilities, including a first aid kit and, if necessary, a first aid room.
A sufficient number of trained first aiders to provide first aid at the workplace.
Information about the location of first aid facilities and the names of first aiders to all workers at the workplace.
